So today I'm going to show you how to walk straight through it, and build an entire channel identity — sound, look, the lot — using nothing but AI.

01What Is freebeat 2.0?

02Step One: Your Channel's Theme Song

Every channel needs an identity, and it always starts with the sound. So the first thing I made was a theme song. There's a music generator built right in — I typed what I wanted (funky, upbeat, energetic channel theme), picked a model, hit create, and let it do its thing. About a minute later I had an original track made for my channel. Straight away that's the sound behind my intros, my shorts, everything. Channel voice sorted before we'd even touched video.

One honest word on music, because it matters. I only ever use tracks you actually own, or AI songs from a platform that lets you post them on YouTube and social. freebeat will generate music for you, but it's on you to make sure you're allowed to post the song. 03Real Time: Watching a Video Build Itself

This is the part that didn't exist last time, and it's the one I wanted to watch closely. Here's what Real Time does: I drop a song in, and instead of waiting around for a render, freebeat opens a live session and starts generating the music video right in front of me, frame by frame, in time with the track as it plays.

The first frame lands the second the song starts. The chorus hits and the whole world opens up. The drop comes and the camera moves with it. I'm not editing anything — I clicked one button and watched a music video appear. That's the bit I want to land properly: it took zero skill. Drop a song in, press the button, you can do that.

04Simple Mode vs Advanced: Speed or the Director's Chair

One click is brilliant when you want speed. But say you've got a specific vision in your head — that's where the advanced side comes in. Same Real Time engine, except now I'm directing: I can shape the scenes, lock in a style, choose my character and steer the story. You're not stuck with whatever it gives you first.

That's the balance I like. Simple mode for speed, advanced when you want to be the director. Same idea as the trailers I showed you last time, just way more powerful now.

05Character Lock Test One: Me, Singing

Character Lock is the single biggest leap in 2.0, and it's the one that mattered most to me. Last time, consistency was the hard bit — put yourself in a video and you'd slowly drift, change, stop looking quite like you scene to scene. Now you put in your face and likeness (or build your own avatar) and it holds that character the whole way through.

Test one: I uploaded a photo of myself in my MrYouWho shirt, dropped a track in, and switched on singing mode, where the character actually performs the song. This is exactly where AI used to fall apart. It didn't. Same face, same look, performing the whole way through, no drift — and the new on-beat effects fire on the drops, so when the beat hits, the video hits with it. That punchy, produced feel. Right there I had a channel trailer, an intro and a music video, all done.

Quick one: you don't have to use your own face. Build an avatar and it locks that exactly the same way.

06Character Lock Test Two: Me, as a Character in a Story

Test two is where it really proved itself. Same me, completely different world. I switched to storytelling mode, and instead of visuals cut to a beat it builds an actual narrative — a beginning, a middle and an end — while keeping me as the character the whole way through. Two completely different videos, and it held me both times. That's a pass.

This is also the answer if you'd rather not be in it yourself. Design a character, lock it, and build a whole story-driven or anime channel around them without ever picking up a camera. A person in a bedroom with an idea and no budget, making something that cinematic — that's what transformational actually means.

07Shorts: Turning One Video Into a Content Pipeline

A channel needs feeding, right? So here's the last piece. Everything I made — the trailer, the music videos, the story — freebeat will turn into vertical shorts for TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts. One long piece becomes a stack of clips you can post all week. You're not just making a video, you're making a content pipeline for a channel that doesn't exist yet.
