Things to do when in lockdown and isolation

by Mr. YouWho ·

Just because you are in lockdown doesn’t mean that you need to be bored or have your life put on hold. There are many things you can do to keep yourself active, healthy, stimulated and learning. From relaxing watching a good flick to giving yourself a good exercise routine there are a multitude of things you can do. There are also many free resources and things to do now available online. Here are some of our top tips from in lockdown: Catch a good movie and TV show While this sounds the most obvious it is also the most easiest. Gone are the days when you had to go and rent out a video from your local store. Now there are so many streaming services available now that you literally have 1000s of movies, TV shows and documentaries at your finger tips. These include Amazon Prime, Netflix and other local streaming services. There are a lot of great options on here and it is updated continually. Home workout classes With gyms being shut for the foreseeable future there are lots of online classes that are now available. Large gym chains are also doing daily classes where you can participate just as if you were in the gym. Currently Les Mills has his On Demand has a free trial which includes everything from Barre to Body Combat and is really good. https://watch.lesmillsondemand.com/free-content Learn a language While you can’t travel to other countries at the moment this could be perfect to brush up on a new language. Do you like Italian, German or would like to speak some Mandarin. Now is the perfect to get a new language so you are ready when we can start travelling again. We recommend audible has some really good language courses in particular I have found the Paul Noble language course was really good when learning Italian. The link to the audibles free trial is here.  Start an online business It has never been easier to launch a side hustle or new business. There are literally resources everywhere that can help you start something from the ground up and it literally costs no money to start. We have got some really good courses here through here - https://www.inlockdown.org/collections/learning-development Read a good book Tired of movies and TV and looking for something different. When in lockdown it is a perfect chance to absorb yourself in rich stories and adventures and let your imagination run wild. There are a lot of great books you can read directly through kindle and to get your free trial please click here.  Meditation A great way to relax and unwind in the middle to fall the madness that is going on, meditation allows you to unwind, relax and switch off from all the craziness that is going on. We recommend Deepak Chopra as someone we use to relax Working from home Now that most of us are going to be working from home for the foreseeable future whilst in Lockdown there are numerous things that you can have in place that can help you out.Ideally it is great to stay connected with you work colleauges and loved one’s. Our preferred method to communicate now is through the Zoom app https://zoom.us/ It allows you to connect, share and collaborate with your colleagues and customers which is really useful. We also have our youtube video about this below: Being in lockdown doesn’t mean that your life has to be put on hold, there are many things you can do to keep yourself happy, healthy, productive, sane and entertained during this difficult period.

We have now gone in lockdown and in the space of days, the fabric of our daily lives has changed out of all recognition. We are in our homes, yet in completely unfamiliar territory. Whilst you are in lockdown it will give you a good chance to take control of how you look. It is a good opportunity to get rid of what you don't want to wear and look at adding new clothes and accessories combinations.

Welcome back to Mr.YouWho and our review of the Dyson V7 cord free vacuum cleaner. Now living in a home with lots of carpet, removing dust and dirt is absolutely critical, this is in particular with my partner suffering from asthma. In other reviews we have discussed a range of air purifiers have helped with his breathing. We found though unless we can actually remove dirt and dust from the home air quality is hard to manage. So we are very excited to be reviewing the Dyson V7 cord free vacuum cleaner. We had heard lots of good things about it so are very excited to be putting the dyson through it’s paces.
