Innioasis Y1 Unboxing & Premium Retro-Inspired Design

Unboxing the Innioasis Y1 instantly takes you back to the early 2000s when iPods dominated the music scene. The packaging is simple but stylish, and inside you’ll find:

  • The Innioasis Y1 MP3 Player
  • USB-C Charging Cable
  • Surprisingly good wired earbuds
  • Quick-start manual

The device itself is small, lightweight and clean—a modern reinterpretation of the classic iPod aesthetic. The standout feature is the touch-sensitive click wheel. It feels instantly familiar, letting you scroll, adjust volume and move through menus by circling your thumb around it. It's smooth, responsive and oddly satisfying in a way that touchscreen controls can’t replicate.

You also get 128GB of internal storage, which is huge for such a compact device. That’s thousands of songs loaded directly into the device without relying on streaming subscriptions.

In the hand, the Y1 feels fantastic. It’s plastic—not metal—but that keeps it lightweight and ultra-portable. It fits easily in a pocket, gym shorts, or a travel pouch without weighing you down.

Setup, Music Management & Y1 Interface Features

Setting up the Innioasis Y1 couldn’t be easier:

  1. Plug it into your computer via USB-C.
  2. Drag and drop your music files—no apps, no software, no syncing tools.
  3. Organize tracks by playlists, artists, albums or folders.

The Y1 supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG and high-res formats, making it perfect for audiophiles with big offline libraries.

Navigation is smooth thanks to the clean OS. The main menu includes:

  • Music
  • Videos
  • Audiobooks
  • FM Radio
  • Bluetooth Menu
  • System Settings

You also get:

  • Built-in EQ presets (Pop, Jazz, Classical, Custom)
  • Theme switching (3 system themes)
  • Backlight timer control
  • Album art support
  • Lyrics display for supported formats

There’s a retro vibe throughout the interface, but everything feels modern, fast and intuitive.

Real-World Sound Quality: Wired vs Bluetooth Performance

The big question: How does the Innioasis Y1 actually sound?

🎧 Wired Sound Quality

Using wired headphones unlocks the Y1’s full audio potential. Sound is:

  • Crisp and detailed
  • Full-bodied with clean bass
  • Open and natural thanks to low noise floor

High-resolution formats like FLAC and WAV sound noticeably cleaner than typical phone streaming. When running in Brisbane’s parks, I immediately noticed better separation and clarity than I get from Spotify over Bluetooth.

📡 Bluetooth Sound

Bluetooth works well for casual listening. It’s stable for short distances, though you may get the occasional dropout if you walk too far away from the device. For workouts and public transport, Bluetooth performance is more than acceptable.

Battery Life, Outdoor Visibility & Everyday Usability

This is where the Innioasis Y1 shines even more. Inside is a 1250 mAh battery—huge for a device this tiny—which delivers:

  • 25–30 hours of playback on a single charge
  • Almost a week of daily use

I even took it traveling and forgot the charger. It still had battery left when I got home. That’s the joy of a dedicated player: maximum efficiency.

The screen is bright enough to see outdoors in sunlight, and surprisingly, the Y1 can even play videos (MP4, MKV), though realistically you're here for the audio experience.

The FM Radio works well too—especially with wired headphones plugged in, since they act as an antenna.

In daily use, the Y1 is:

  • Lightweight enough for runs
  • Small enough for pockets and travel
  • Focused since there are no messages or social media apps

This is a device made for people who want to just listen without the world interrupting them.

Who Should Buy the Innioasis Y1?

The Y1 is perfect for:

  • Fitness lovers who want distraction-free running or gym sessions
  • Travelers who want long-lasting battery and offline listening
  • Audiophiles with large high-resolution music libraries
  • Nostalgia fans who miss the simplicity of iPod Classic days
  • Kids or teens who need a safe, offline music device
  • Minimalists tired of phone notifications ruining their vibe

If you’re someone who truly values music and misses the physical ritual of owning songs—not renting them via streaming—the Y1 brings that feeling back.

Innioasis Y1 vs Other MP3 Players & Retro Devices

Compared to other MP3 players still around in 2025, the Y1 stands out because:

  • It has far more storage (128GB standard)
  • It supports more formats including FLAC, WAV and AAC
  • The click wheel interface feels retro and unique
  • Battery life is significantly longer
  • The OS is cleaner and faster

It’s a more modern, more capable alternative to many budget MP3 players—and a more nostalgic, distraction-free option than using a smartphone.

Final Verdict: Is the Innioasis Y1 Worth Buying in 2025?

After weeks of testing the Innioasis Y1, here’s the truth: this isn’t just a nostalgia toy—it’s genuinely useful, fun and refreshing to use.

What the Y1 gets right:

  • Excellent sound quality, especially wired
  • 128GB of internal storage
  • Long battery life (25–30 hours)
  • Bright display with album art & lyrics support
  • FM Radio, videos, audiobooks & playlists
  • Lightweight, modern-retro design
  • Extremely easy setup—just drag & drop

Where it could improve:

  • Bluetooth can drop occasionally during movement
  • Plastic build isn’t “premium,” though it does keep weight down

If you miss the pure joy of owning your music—and want a dedicated device for travel, fitness or offline listening—the Innioasis Y1 is absolutely worth it. It’s more than a nostalgic throwback; it’s a practical, enjoyable and well-built MP3 player for 2025.

Never received it

I never received my purchase

Great watch, great price.

This is a quality wrist watch, not a cheap imitation. It looks just as it is advertised, it keeps impeccable time, and the weight of the watch feels like it should, solid and is an asset to my daily dress wardrobe.

Well I haven't recieved it yet, keeping up with the tracking and hope to get it soon, thanks

Still waiting ............

I was emailed a request by the merchant to rate the ring I purchased three weeks ago. However, I have yet to receive. I am still going to rate my purchase Five stars in hopes that I receive my ring and it looks as good in person as it does in pictures. I realize this item is delivered from China and
hope that’s the reason for its delay. Fingers crossed.
